Prophets Cannot Serve What They Must Rule

This evening I brought a message titled “Prophets Cannot Serve What They Must Rule“ at Shiloh, Kalona, Iowa.

This Word came to clarify the role of the school of prophets. Ephesians 6:12 tells us that “our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

There is hierarchy and order in the realm of spirit. The Hebrew word “Elohim” is actually plural, implying that there are many gods or beings that function on a higher level, ruling in the spirit realm. When God created man in His image, He created us with the ability to rule and reign with Him. However, when Adam and Eve sinned, mankind was taken out from under His Lordship and placed under many gods. Then man began to serve the things he was created to rule over.

God is taking us through a process where He is setting us free from worshiping and serving every other thing besides Him. Why? Because He wants us to rule over these things! To become the school of prophets, we must enter into the Lordship of Jesus Christ, stop serving that which we were made to rule over, and engage in the spiritual battle to bring forth His Kingdom.
